Lindsay McNeil

Registered Psychologist, DPsyc

Hello, I’m Lindsay, a registered psychologist, mom to 3, wife, lifelong learner, Rebirthing Breathwork Mastery (RBM) practitioner in training, and Human Design (HD) experimenter. I am currently navigating my own wellness journey, so that I can support you on yours.

I’m so glad you’re here.

You deserve to live your best, most authentic and fulfilling life!

I get that, unfortunately, this isn’t always your current reality. I truly believe that we are all doing the best that we can with what is available to us in the moment. Sometimes, that will look different, based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the environment we’re in, the people we surround ourselves with, our nervous system health, past experiences, and limiting beliefs.

I want to support you to learn that you have everything you need already within you, to live your most fulfilling life. But you’re not alone if you find that difficult to imagine, or access at times. It’s ok to ask for support as you step into your own mastery.

That’s where I come in.

I want to start by making one thing perfectly clear: My job is not to “fix” you. Why? Because you are not broken! And it is totally ok if part of our work together is supporting you to see and truly believe that.

I’m here to help you on your journey towards wellness. You can think of me as a wellness companion, if you’d like.

I pride myself on having a supportive and respectful approach to therapy, and really focus my energy on offering a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to learn about themselves, and work towards building the life they want, and truly deserve.

I have a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) with Honours, in Psychology and Biology, from Acadia University, and a Doctor of Psychology (D.Psyc), in Clinical Psychology, from the University of Western Australia. I started my professional career in Australia, and relocated back to Nova Scotia in 2019 with my family. I have over 15 years of experience working with clients, and continue to evolve in my learning and practice.

I consider myself a lifelong learner, and am continually working towards integrating various modalities, that align with my values, into the work I do with clients. I take a trauma and attachment informed approach to therapy, drawing on Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed principles and nervous system support within my work with clients. I have extensive training in Gestalt Psychotherapy, Perinatal Mental Health, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a Diploma in Family and Relationship Therapy, and Advanced training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT).

If you’re looking for worksheets and homework, then I’m probably not the therapist for you. But if you are interested in going deeper, getting curious about your own inner world, the processes that you’ve taken on to keep yourself safe up until now, and how to untangle from them, then I would love to work with you.

I am currently offering virtual appointments within Nova Scotia, but be sure to watch this space, as new offerings will be coming soon.

I look forward to connecting with you.
